Here’s to a lovely year!

Guest post by Liz Carvalho, student assistant in the Records Management Office for the winter term

Hi! My name is Liz, I’m currently in my second year of the MASLIS program, and I’m starting at the Records Management Office this term. I’m looking forward to lots of hands-on practice and doing my best to apply what I learned in class (I mean, that was all theory, but in practice, what does it mean?). I believe this will be invaluable for my formation as I start to specialize in different areas and figure out what I resonate with the most, and I’ll see things from a different perspective which will be exciting.

I’m continuing the work Jack did on the biannual survey, and we will be working diligently to make sure we can implement what we learned from it and engage with the suggestions to connect people to the RMO and the services we provide more easily. I’ll also be looking into and working with the Exchange Newsletter so we can have a wider reach and be able to help people better understand what we do and how we can assist them.

People here are super knowledgeable and friendly, I’m confident I’ll have an amazing time and learn way more than I thought I would! Here’s to a lovely year!
